Ductless mini-split heat pumps have an expected life-span of 15 to 20 years.  However, as with all mechanical devices, parts fail over time.  Similar to vehicles, appliances, and other heating systems, a few failures are to be expected over the life-time of the machine.  Therefore, it oftentimes makes sense to repair your system as opposed to replacing.

MAC services and repairs wall-mount and floor-mount makes of Fujitsu, Daikin, Samsung and Haier mini-split heat pumps.  All service provided over the phone or by email is free of charge, regardless of when your heat pump was installed or if it was installed by MAC.  ​

Unless the heat pump is fully under warranty, there is a $175 diagnostics fee to send a technician on-site to diagnose.  If you choose to have MAC perform the repair, we waive this diagnostics fee.  For many issues, MAC has flat rates available (see table).  If no flat rate is available, an estimate for the work will be provided.

The bill to repair your heat pump consists of two components, parts and labor, both of which depend on your warranty.  The parts warranty for your heat pump is offered through your manufacturer.  The labor warranty for your heat pump is offered through your installer.  For units not installed by MAC, parts warranties can typically be upheld by MAC but labor warranties cannot.
